The 7th Annual Denholm Folk Festival ~ Friday 5th to Sunday 7th November 2010.
Pictures from last years event are now available here
| We found a small clip-on tuner in the small hall of the Village Hall when clearing up after the festival. If anyone has lost it, please contact me and I'll arrange to return it. |
We will keep the "tradition" alive, for at least an other year.

You can download the flyer - with booking form here

Billy Mitchell started playing the guitar in the early sixties when they were all made of wood and mostly the same colour. He formed a ‘beat group’ with some pals at the local youth club and played local clubs and pubs till the sad arrival of full time employment forced their demise.
After a spell in Vancouver, Canada, Billy was invited to return to England to join Jack the Lad with members of the recently split Lindisfarne. Then followed four albums and four years touring the UK and Europe, playing every venue known to man and some that weren’t…
1996 saw Billy join Newcastles’ favourite sons Lindisfarne who enjoyed critical acclaim for their live concerts in the UK and the USA.
Since Lindisfarne's retirement in 2003, Billy has embarked on a very successful solo career.

For the uninitiated, Shooglenifty are an Edinburgh based 6-piece Celtic rock fusion band that tours internationally and not nearly enough in the UK. The band blends Scottish traditional music with influences ranging from the electronic to alternative, even progressive rock. Yes, I kid you not, this band is brilliant. |
