The CFC meets on the last Thursday of the month in the Elphinstone Hotel, Biggar, Scotland.
The Club is based at “The Elph”, which is centrally located on the High Street close to the top pedestrian crossing and opposite the Corn Exchange. We either use the upstairs bar (up to 30 people) or the upstairs lounge (up to 70 people). Drinks are usually available downstairs and if you plan your evening properly then “The Elph” serve really good meals.
The Kelso Folk and Live Music Club’s home for the last few years has been The Cobbles Inn on Bowmont Street. The Friday night sessions start after 9pm and may attract anything from two or three regulars - a rare instance now - to over twenty musicians and singers with visitors from far afield.

As explained on the night last time, we have decided to restrict numbers from now on to 80 people. Everyone will get a proper seat with a back which we hope will provide more comfort, and because it won't be so crowded, it will be easier to get to the bar and back! We have also introduced a special chill-out smoking room. Because of the new seating arrangements, we've had to put the price up by £1 ONLY in order to cover our costs and to enable us to book great musicians. We still think this is fantastic value for money. We hope these new plans make everyone happy! We're going to be selling advance tickets from now on at The Salmon, but you can still turn up on the night and get in, as long as we've still got space. You can always ring at the last minute to check availability: 01750-20538.
